Project #3: Rustic End Table

All of these are practical projects and weren't too difficult, but the table is definitely my favorite. My dad is pretty handy with tools and home projects so we would do projects together around the house when I was growing up. Not only was it a fun thing to do while spending time together but I actually learned a lot of practical skills that I can use around my own house someday like how to wire a room for cable, paint without using tape, tile a bathroom floor, and build a wall in an existing doorway.
Since I don't have the collection of tools that my dad does, I elicited his help on this project while I was in Tennessee in October. That means that we have not been able to use the table since I couldn't bring it back on the plane. This week, however, we will finally be able to upgrade from an upside down trash can with a lamp on top to our beautiful table! Living within your means, people. It's not always pretty.
