Wednesday I got a package from Nicholas and Sydney. They had baked me a batch of chocolate chip cookies. They decorated them so they would be more festive, but the icing kind of got squished in the mail. Although I had never eaten chocolate chip cookies with icing, they actually were delicious. I brought some to school Thursday to share with my kids and they loved them.
I had to run a couple errands after work Thursday and one of the things I picked up was a nail brush. Peyton, however, has stolen it and claimed it as her own. It is her absolute favorite toy now.
Justin had made reservations for us to eat at an Italian restaurant, Bella Vita, so we headed there when he got off work. He finally got to wear his new blazer he got for Christmas.
When we got home from dinner, I opened all the cards and packages I got from family and friends. I sure am spoiled!
Peyton loved helping me open the boxes.
In addition to my batch of cookies, I ended up with two birthday cakes! Justin and I will definitely have to end up freezing some to save for a rainy day.
Justin also surprised me with a spontaneous road trip to Milwaukee planned for Saturday. Thank you to all for making my birthday so great!
