My Mom

I love taking pictures but haven't done very much of that this year, and the pictures I do take mostly end up sitting on my memory card for months and months before I even look at them. So I spent a small portion of my polar vortex school is closed day to upload all of these to my computer and couldn't help but show off this one from when my parents visited for Thanksgiving. My mom is beautiful and has gorgeous blue eyes!
Not only is she beautiful on the outside, but she has a loving, caring, and serving heart. I sure am blessed to have such wonderful role models in my parents.

Christmas Day

What a blessing to spend Christmas day with my family. My parents, Nicholas, Justin, and I had a quiet morning sharing breakfast and hanging out. Sydney joined us after lunch, and we exchanged presents.

Mom showing off her mad hula hooping skills. Justin and I actually got this hula hoop this summer on one of our adventures to the farmer's market. We actually had to go back 3 times to get it. The first time we ran 4 miles there and didn't factor in carrying the hula hoop back. The second time they ran out in before 9am. Third time was a charm!

My second family joined us for the evening and I got to see my best friend for the first time in forever!

After dinner (which of course included a test thanks to the teacher of the family--and not this one!) and dessert (courtesy of Nicholas), we played some intense rounds of spoons--candy cane version and kemps, exchanged presents, and took fabulous pictures.

Only missing Michelle! What a fabulous time celebrating the birth of our Savior with these people.
